I know that thought. I carried it for a long time.

I'm not here to argue with it. I'm here to show you something it doesn't know.

MY STORY

Someone showed me what was possible — before I could see it myself.

I came to Yuma at ten years old, from San Luis Río Colorado — no English, no roadmap. I learned the language, earned my degree and a master's from the University of Arizona, taught at the university level, and built my life here one decision at a time.

For a long time, I believed owning a home was for other people. I grew up with the same fear of debt that so many families in our community carry. Then someone showed me what was actually possible — before I could see it for myself. That one moment changed the direction of my life.

I work with the people who make this community what it is — farmworkers, foremen, ranch managers, and farm families who work hard every day and want a home for their family but have never had someone they trust to show them the way. I understand your world because I've worked in it my whole life.
